As one of the Top 250 Salons in the Nation, Gold Coast tanning has grown to become one of the largest tanning salons
in the Greenwood area, providing tanning and spa-type services to Greenwood and Center Grove families.
Gold Coast Tanning is located in The Centre at Smith Valley at 1675 W. Smith Valley Road and has been tanning
customers since 1998. In November 2003, the salon was purchased by Bob & Ruth Ann Rusie who have been local
Greenwood residents since 1985. They have earned the reputation as a leader in the tanning industry in the areas of
customer service, cleanliness and community involvement. Bob & Ruth Ann contribute this to their employees, their
presence in the salon, and the fact that they obtained a well-established business with great customers!
Gold Coast originated in Suite A-2, a 1200 square feet facility with 8 tanning beds and a spray tan unit. In January 2006,
they moved just a few doors down to Suite B-7, acquiring over two times the square footage, 3200 square feet, 5
additional tanning units, a new spray tan unit, and a dry-water massage machine. Additionally, Gold Coast is now
offering spa-type services such as body wraps, sea clay mask, Intense Pulse Light [photo rejuvenation], and 30, 60, & 90
minute massages.
While tanning continues to be a walk in service; an appointment is necessary for all spa-type services. Just call the salon
to book your appointment with one of our body wrap specialists or our massage therapist, Becca. Photo rejuvenation
sessions (IPL) are provided by appointment.
It has been their good fortune to acquire a business near to their home and community and to be involved with such
good people/customers since their purchase in 2003.
